UUM Signs An Agreement With Universitas Indonesia
UUM ONLINE: Indonesia - Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universitas Indonesia (UI), yesterday.
UUM was represented by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dato' Seri Dr Mohamed Mustafa Ishak while Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Anis, the Rector, signed on behalf of UI.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed his delight as UUM was afforded with the opportunity to collaborate with the 165 year-old university, the oldest in Indonesia, as well as one of the leading universities in the country.
The collaborative effort would be further developed between the Faculty of Economics, UI and the School of Economics, Finance and Banking (SEFB) UUM.
Among the collaborative activities planned include the sending of instructors or lecturers from the UI, mainly from the Faculty of Economics and Business, to pursue doctoral degrees in UUM . Besides, the activities also include the student mobility programme, matching grants and joint research between the two universities.
Also present were the Director of UUM Alumni Centre, Mr. Syamsyul Anuar Che Mey; Dean of the School of Islamic Banking, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nasri Md Hussain as well as UUM and UI senior officials.
