DRAKE UNIVERSITY IN TALKS WITH UUM OVER POTENTIAL COLLABORATION
Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) received an official visit from a delegation from Drake University, Iowa, USA. UUM and Drake University delegation were involved in a gainful round table discussion (RTD) at the Senate Meeting Room.
The visit from the delegation consisting of four people including Prof Christa Olson, Prof Lisa Gardner, Prof Richard Long and Datuk Noripah Kamso aims at moving closer toward establishing relations with officials and lecturers from UUM College of Business (UUM COB) and UUM College of Arts and Sciences (UUM CAS), as well as exploring potential collaboration between Drake University and UUM in terms of programmes offered and research interests.
Dean of the School of Economics, Finance and Banking (SEFB) of UUM, Prof Dr Yusnidah Ibrahim briefed the delegation on the UUM background and programmes offered at this university.
Also attended the UUM – Drake University RTD session were Deans of Schools, Directors of Centres of Authority (PTJ) and university senior officials.
Earlier, the Drake University delegation visited UUM Welcome Centre and UUM Gallery before attended the RTD session in the afternoon. The delegation was also taken on a tour around the campus.
